This roundtable working lunch will focus on NCD prevention among adolescents and the progress achieved by countries focusing on their youth.

DEVEX Live will host leading voices in government, industry, academia, and the non-profit sector to discuss how catalyzing innovations in financing and service delivery are critical to the system strengthening efforts needed to combat NCDs and realize universal health coverage.

NCDs and PHC: Road to Universal Health Coverage Roundtable: Hosted by United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth
This round table session will provide an opportunity for young people working in the field of NCDs to discuss the topic with relevant parties keeping in mind the dynamics of institutional engagement in such processes. It will also be important to discuss and deliberate on the nexus between NCDs and Primary Health Care (PHC), especially in the context of the upcoming Global Conference on Primary Health Care that will take place in October - 40 years after the original Alma Ata Declaration was agreed.

Transforming healthcare systems to respond to the NCD burden by focusing on early diagnosis in collaboration with Royal Philips and Devex: Hosted by World Obesity Federation; Novo Nordisk; Royal Philips; Devex; Arnhold Institute for Global Health; Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
This meeting will be conducted in the context of the NCD Dialogue Series project and will be a series of sessions showcasing the World Economic Forum’s platform portfolio on NCDs prior to the UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs. The overall objectives are to emphasize the importance of private-sector involvement to achieve SDG target 3.4 (on NCDs) and to provide a platform for progressing different focus themes in the global NCD agenda.
