RTI is excited to sponsor The New Building Blocks of Development conference, hosted by Duke University. The conference will feature Duke faculty from across the university as well as colleagues from other universities and experts from international organizations and nonprofits, including RTI, a longstanding partner of Duke.
RTI’s Paul Weisenfeld and Homi Kharas from the Brookings Institution will offer opening remarks, and Cornell University professor Kaushik Basu, former chief economic adviser to the government of India and former chief economist at the World Bank, will be the keynote speaker. Other RTI participants include:
- Eric Johnson, who will participate in a panel discussion on academic evidence and policy impact
- Rachel Nugent, who will join a panel on achieving the health SDGs
- Anuja Purohit, who will participate on a panel examining India's development frontiers
