Many studies have focused on how technology is impacting society. Less attention has been paid to the role that institutions will play in our changing society and how they can enable the private sector and innovation-led economic growth to make way for technological disruptions and also mitigate the potential negative impacts of change. The conversation will center around the next steps countries must take to adopt innovation without disrupting political and economic stability.
RTI and the Center for Strategic and International Studies are publishing a report titled Rebooting the Innovation Agenda: The need for Resilient Institutions.
Sara Lawrence, program director for Economic Development at RTI, is a coauthor of the paper and will be featured in an RTI sponsored CSIS event to discuss the impacts of what is being called the fourth industrial revolution. Join us at the event or watch the event webcast.
