CoachED: Foundations of Coaching to Empower Teachers Cohort I

Engage in an immersive, 3-part course experience, designed to ground new and veteran coaches in solid foundations for empowering teachers through the coaching process. Expect to apply coaching related theories – including adult learning and change management theories – to authentic coaching scenarios and practice with tools, strategies and techniques that draw on teacher assets. Coaching strategies and techniques shared throughout this course are designed to build teachers’ self-efficacy and capacity to facilitate instruction and classroom communities where students experience joy and academic success. The course is designed with four central components – multimodal learning, reflection, practice, and networking – that support immediate implementation empowering coaching practices with teachers.
