As we continue through 2025, I want to take a moment to look back and celebrate the remarkable strides the institute made in 2024.
Last year, we continued advancing our mission in pursuit of our North Star goal to positively impact the wellbeing of 1 billion people worldwide. Collectively, we’re ensuring people receive services, build partnerships, and research and policy improve lives.
The breadth of our work inspires me and the entire Executive Leadership Team. Recognizing the essential connection between human health and scientific progress, we’re studying high-intensity sweeteners in the food industry, developing strategies to reduce opioid use and misuse, and creating a program aimed at improving the mental health outcomes of Veterans transitioning to civilian life.
At RTI, innovation is at the heart of achieving our North Star. Some of our notable innovation commitments include exploring in vitro and computational new approach methodologies to increase the human relevance of toxicity testing, pre-clinical pharmaceutical development, and basic science research.
Our innovative energy solutions are advancing carbon capture storage technology to reduce pollution, demonstrating all-electric CO2-to-fuel production for jets, and harnessing renewable energy sources to produce liquids for the chemical industry.
These are some of the examples of the ways we’re advancing our impact in support of our North Star. By aligning our efforts with this shared goal, we’re delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients, partners, and collaborators in the U.S. and around the world.
Our North Star serves as both a beacon and a unifying force, directly contributing to our mission of improving the human condition by turning knowledge into practice. The North Star represents more than just a number – it embodies the meaningful change we create when we come together to support our clients and partners.
Every member of the RTI community plays a vital role in advancing our impact, and together, we reached new heights in 2024. Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond, we recognize there will be new opportunities for impact.
