Spring 2024 Center for Applied Research in Environmental Sciences (CARES) Seminar Series

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — The Spring 2024 CARES Seminar Series is a collaborative opportunity to feature prominent researchers in the fields of environmental health science and justice and a chance to display some of the newest collaborations developed between RTI International and North Carolina Central University. All meetings in the series are open to the public and may require advance registration.

Each seminar will host experts to present and discuss their research followed by a Q&A session for those attending. Topics discussed in these seminar series include talks about plastic pollution, PFAS exposure, lead in drinking water, air quality and the future of CARES research collaborations.

The meetings will vary between in-person and hybrid and will alternate between the RTI campus and NCCU campus to demonstrate the strong commitment of the CARES program to the collaborative efforts at both institutions. Lunch will be provided to in-person attendees from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the seminar will run from 12 to 1 p.m.
