Global Health Systems and Finance
We have broad-based experience in health systems strengthening and health care financing. We address issues to strengthen the capacity and performance of public health institutions and community health organizations and promote high quality, timely, and useful data—through health information systems—to inform decision making in the health sector.
In decentralized settings, we are working with central and local health services units to enhance the public sector capacity to increase the effectiveness of financing, planning, and management of health care services. As a result, financial resources are used efficiently and more funds are available to improve the quality and sustainability of priority health-sector programs. We are building the capacity of local health officials and service delivery workers by training them to use basic tools to analyze, report, and address major health needs and to design programs to ensure that quality health services are accessible to disadvantaged populations.
