Infectious Diseases
Medical science has provided cures for many of the infectious diseases that have plagued humankind, but these diseases are still a major cause of death and disability around the world. RTI International researchers are focusing on several of the major global infectious diseases, including HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, and seven neglected tropical diseases. We are working on a number of fronts to lessen the impact of these diseases and to curb their spread.
