Connect

Megan Clayton is a research scientist with expertise in qualitative research, evaluation planning and design, reporting, and public speaking. Since joining RTI in 2015, Dr. Clayton has served in a leadership role for a health equity-focused evaluation of interventions designed to address social determinants of health (Improving Social Determinants of Health - Getting Further Faster: Association of State and Territorial Health Officials and the National Association of County and City Health Officials Mixed-Methods Retrospective Evaluation). She also serves as a technical leader for The Accountable Health Communities Evaluation that’s focused on addressing patients’ health-related social needs. Dr. Clayton is experienced in leading the design and training for qualitative data collection and analysis.

Previously, she worked as a research assistant for and served as a Lerner Fellow with the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future. In these roles, she worked with students, educators, researchers, policymakers, and nonprofits to identity and advance data-driven policies and strategies to promote a healthier, more equitable, and resilient food system.
