Applying implementation science, community-based research, and social marketing to support programs that inform and influence health and well-being
We work on behalf of clients to design and implement evidence-based interventions that enable individuals and communities to make better decisions regarding health and other behaviors. Our work supports program development in public health and social policy. For example, we lead and support client programs aimed at modifying individual behaviors—including parenting practices, substance use, sexual violence, financial literacy, and risky sexual behaviors.
We use implementation science frameworks to assess barriers to and facilitators of change, synthesize theory and research, and clearly define intervention objectives. We engage key stakeholders to help inform the intervention strategy and ground our designs in social and behavioral theories. Clients rely on us to ensure that programs are culturally appropriate for the target audience and tailored to local contexts.
Our experts develop research-based communication and social marketing interventions aimed at promoting behavior change. Our program materials are designed to build skills, influence attitudes, and modify behaviors—integrating experiential learning methods, role play, and games, as appropriate. We also develop behavioral and biomedical interventions for sex workers, vulnerable women, drug users, and other at-risk populations. We implement interventions that demonstrate efficacy and evaluate intervention programs once they are scaled-up, with a view toward informing policy change.
