Algaye NGOM is a Deputy Chief of Party for the USAID/Owod Project in Senegal. The project focuses on strengthening Senegal's health system at the district level through implementation of annual, integrated work plans to improve malaria control with support for reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health; nutrition; and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services. He assists the Chief of Party in supervision, administration, and management of the program, to ensure that intended results are achieved on time, within scope and budget.

Dr. NGOM is a medical professional and public health specialist with 20 years of experience including six years of working with international non-governmental organizations in the implementation of USAID health programs.

Prior to working at RTI, Dr. NGOM served as the Senior Disease Control Advisor for the USAID Neema project, working on malaria control, child survival, and PEPFAR implementation activities. He also coordinated the regional office of the same project in Diourbel and has more than 12 years of experience as a District Medical Chief and Deputy Medical Chief in Senegal.

Dr. NGOM is fluent in French, Wolof, and Upper Intermediate level in English.
